After much speculation, it has now been reported that the funeral of L’Wren Scott, following her tragic suicide on March 17, will be held in LA — opposing the wishes of some of the acclaimed designer’s family.

With many of L’Wren Scott‘s family still based in Utah, it has been unclear until now where her funeral would be held, especially with longtime partner Mick Jagger residing in LA and much of her business and life based in New York. However, it has now been reported that the funeral will be held in LA, according to a report from Page Six. Unfortunately, this decision is mainly in part due to a bitter, unresolved feud that persists in the Scott family.

It was at the insistence of not only Mick but also Randall Bamborough, L’Wren’s older brother, that the wake and funeral be held in LA.
Randall is even trying to keep Jan from attending the funeral altogether, Ron Shane — Jan’s husband said.

L’Wren Scott: Reason For Suicide Remains A Mystery

Of course, we don’t want to make any assumptions, but it may be for the best that the funeral is being held in LA, if that’s what both her partner of 13 years and her elder brother want.
It was a total shock when it was reported that L’Wren, 49, hanged herself in her Chelsea, Manhattan apartment. While reports initially claimed that it was because herself and Mick Jagger were on the outs, or because she was about to declare bankruptcy, they have all proved to be false.
Our thoughts are with Mick Jagger and the Scott family during this difficult time.
