Of the A models, Audi's midsize range of A6 is one of the
freshest, having made its debut as recently as 2011. However, this is a
fiercely competitive market where BMW and Mercedes are introducing
frequent updates, thus forcing the Ingolstadt four-ringed brand to do
the same.
Say hello to the A6 facelift, likely a 2015 update for the C7
generation. This is not the first time we've shown you prototypes of
camo-clad prototypes testing, which is why we're tying to do something
different this time. Rather than showing you the big picture, small
details are better suited as we delve into Audi's mindset. As with all
other Audi models, the headlights and taillights define the design and
are going to be subject to change.
2013 model year A6 with xenons on the left, upcoming 2015 model on the right – let's see what's about to change!
At the front, the overall shape of the headlights remains largely
unchanged, but the way in which the graphics are done is different. The
current model is layered like an onion from the bottom, which makes it
look serious. But the updated headlights will have a pronounced brow of
LEDs. Of course, we are comparing xenens with xenons, but full-LED and
probably full-LED with Matrix tech will be optional, though we have no
photographic evidence yet.
