Fiat launches Abarth Biposto 695

Fiat’s tuning arm Abarth has applied its treatment to several 500 models to date, but this undoubtedly the hottest. The Abarth 695 biposto, to give it its full title, is a lightweight, more powerful hard-edged 500 for the real fanatics. It pumps out 142 kW of power from its 1,4-litre turbocharged mill, which endows it with a benchmark zero-to-100 km/h sprint time of 5,9 seconds and a top speed of nearly 230 km/h.
This new addition to the Abarth family has undergone a severe diet with its name derived from the fact that it only has two seats, the rear bench being junked in the name of mass reduction. Other weight-saving measures include lightweight, carbon fibre-shell seats (with four point racing harnesses provided by Sabelt), fixed front windows with sliding panels, lightweight forged wheels and aluminium bonnet.  An Akrapovic exhaust system has also been fitted, which is both lightweight and allows a sportier soundtrack.
Externally, there’s a Zender, known for creating high-quality aesthetic design components, body kit. The bodywork is characterised by a brand-new textured-effect Matt Grey colour and  enhanced by titanium finishes for the bonnet trim, door handles and tailgate and rear handle.
Under the skin the Biposto has large format Brembo discs controlled by ABS, ESP and TTC systems. The car is also equipped with shock absorbers with hydraulic and height adjustment by Extreme Shox
