Catwoman’s Edgy New Look for ‘Gotham’ — Where’s Her Mask?

FOX’s Batman-prequel series, ‘Gotham’ has released the first look at actress Camren Bicondova as Catwoman and the photo does not disappoint! Looking badass in a tight leather jacket, Camren is equal parts sexy and fierce — think Michelle Pfeiffer in 1992′s ‘Batman Returns’. 

Unlike Michelle Pfeiffer and Anne Hathaway, who played Catwoman in 2012′s The Dark Knight Rises, Camren isn’t wearing Catwoman’s traditional mask in any of these photos. Why? Keep reading to find out why she’s changing her look!

Camren Bicondova — Not Yet Cat-Woman

Bicondova will actually be playing a young, not-yet-Catwoman Selina Kyle and her character is being described as, “a teenage orphan who is suspicious and wholly unpredictable” and  ”a street thief and skilled pickpocket [who’s] dangerous when cornered.” Sounds an awful lot like Catwoman to us!
The new show will tell the story of Detective James Gordon (The O.C.’s Ben McKenzie) and his efforts to fight crime in city of Gotham. The show also stars David Zazouz, who will be playing a preteen Bruce Wayne, shortly after his parents are killed, Sean Pertwee as Mr. Wayne’s longtime confidante Alfred Pennyworth and Robin Lord Taylor as Oswald Cobblepot (aka the Penguin).
Jada Pinkett will play the Penguin’s boss in the new series, which has a 13-episode order from FOX.
Camren is best known for her roles in Girlhouse and Battlefield America, but we’re betting this role will turn her into a star in no time!
