Poor Miley Cyrus.
The singer won't be Twerking with any giant stuffed animals any time soon.
Following an allergic reaction to antibiotics on Tuesday, Cyrus was hospitalized and forced to cancel a couple stops on her Bangerz tour.
Now, according to E! News, it sounds like she won't be entertaining fans for quite a long while.
The artist’s rep says "Miley was suffering from a sinus infection during her tour in N.C. a week ago [and] was prescribed the antibiotic cephalexin” as a result.
The kind of allergic reaction she fell victim to this week often takes anywhere from 5 to 27 days to clear up.
"She will remain hospitalized and is under a doctor's care until we see some improvement in her condition and is asking for your compassion and privacy at this time," the rep added.
"Miley is devastated about missing shows and possibly disappointing her fans."
Some of those fans, meanwhile, have actually accused Cyrus of faking her illness, an allegation that causedMiley to lash out via Twitter yesterday.
The singer has already postponed concert dates in Kansas City and St. Louis and it looks like she'll be unable to perform for hometown fans tomorrow evening in Nashville.
An earlier report claimed Cyrus has been drinking, drugging and partying hard since the death of her dog and this lifestyle - not a sinus infection - was to blame for her illness, her medication and her subsequent reaction.
You may decide for yourself just what made Miley sick, but let's all hope she's up and shaking her butt again soon.
