The News that socialite and video vixen Vera Sidika will not be repping Kenya at this year’s Big Brother Africa have probably broken a lot of hearts but there is really nothing anyone can do.
Many fans were looking forward to having the voluptuous beauty now nicknamed ‘Bleached beauty’ grace their screens but sadly this will not be the case. According to the Star’s Word Is, a source close to the Big Brother Africa guys told them that Vera being dropped had everything to with her fellow socialite Huddah Monroe or rather what is now referred to as the ‘Huddah curse’ or ‘socialite curse’.
Fellow socialite and rival Huddah Monroe represented Kenya at the Big Brother last year but disappointed when she was evicted from the reality show after only a week. The Producers are afraid that the same thing will happen if they settle on a socialite and that is why they’d rather pick one who is not.
Here is what the Source told the Star,
“There will be no more Huddah types for Big Brother Africa. Rumour has it that Vera may not be going which is a shame though because I hear everyone at Mnet was very excited at Vera. Her audition was flawless. Then some producers freaked out. ‘What if she ends up like Huddah?’”

They are still in – love with her,” “But as they say, they fear the Huddah Curse. They love her but they are so petrified of another Huddah, they will settle for a boring person.”
Vera confirmed that she will not be on the show..
